Beasiswa International Master Program in Mathematics Education

University of Utrecht (UU) kerjasama dengan Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) & Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) membuka beasiswa International Master Program on Mathematics Education tahun 2009. Konsorsium antara University of Utrecht, the Netherlands dengan Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) dan Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) di Palembang, membuka kesempatan kepada Dosen atau Calon Tenaga Akademik Baru (CTAB), dan guru matematika yang
bergelar sarjana pendidikan matematika atau sarjana matematika untuk mengikuti International Master Program in Mathematics Education.
Program ini akan dilaksanakan selama 2 tahun 2 bulan yaitu 8 bulan di Indonesia (Unesa atau Unsri), 1 tahun di Belanda (University of Utrecht), dan 6 bulan penelitian dan penulisan tesis di Indonesia.
Beasiswa selama periode di Indonesia untuk Dosen atau CTAB akan diberikan oleh Ditjen Pendidikan Tinggi Depdiknas (BPPS), sedangkan periode di Belanda akan diberikan oleh StuNed.

Persyaratan untuk calon penerima beasiswa adalah:
• warga negara Indonesia;
• pendidikan minimal S1 pendidikan matematika atau matematika dengan I.P.K. minimal 2.75;
• pengalaman kerja dalam matematika minimal 2 tahun di institusi terakhir atau telah ditunjuk
secara formal oleh rektor menjadi pengajar di institusi ybs. sebagai CTAB;
• bersedia mengikuti dan menyelesaikan seluruh perkuliahan selama menerima beasiswa;
• memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris yang cukup baik (ITP TOEFL minimal 450);
• kondisi kesehatan yang baik;
• tidak menempuh studi di luar negeri dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun terakhir ini;
• per tanggal 1 Desember 2009, usia tidak lebih dari 40 tahun untuk pria, dan 45 tahun untuk wanita;

Pengumuman akan disampaikan ke peserta yang lulus menerima beasiswa akan dihubungi langsung. Awal perkuliahan akan dimulai pada bulan April 2009 didahului dengan intensif Bahasa Inggris. Jika tidak memenuhi syarat untuk berangkat ke Belanda, akan meneruskan studi S2 regular di Unesa atau Unsri.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships in Agriculture and Rural Development

The Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Uni0n supports the Agris Mundus Masters course.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are offered for third countries selected candidates to the Agris Mundus course. For each student, the scholarship amounts 21,000 euros per academic year which covers the living costs, transportation costs and subscription fees.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. to be a citizen of a third country (all countries other than the 27 States of the European Uni0n and the associated states [Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway]),
2. not residing in any UE Member State or participating country, AND not having carried out his/her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months the last five years in any of the UE Member States or participating countries, at the date of the application.

Warning ! Candidates are not allowed to apply to more than 3 Erasmus Mundus master courses for the same academic year.

The Agris Mundus consortium and the European Commission select who receives an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

The scholarship is managed by the Agris Mundus secretariat. Beneficiaries are required to order their flight ticket by themselves, from their home country.

Upon arrival in Europe, students are encouraged to open a bank account in the country where they attend the M1. They will receive a lump sum of 1500 euros to pay back the ticket and to facilitate their installation. This lump sum is a part of the scholarship, as well as the amount of the Agris Mundus fees (7500 euros per academic year). The remaining part of the scholarship will be transferred regularly on the students personal bank account. The solicitation for the scholarship is included in the application form.

Other Scholarships
Students who are admitted but who do not benefit of an Erasmus Mundus scholarship are encouraged to look by themselves for other sources of financial support. For this purpose, the secretariat can send them an estimate of the cost of the studies.

Beasiswa: Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2009-2010

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) is the center of excellence for leadership education in Asia Pacific and a signature program of the East-West Center. The program links advanced and interdisciplinary analysis of emergent regional issues with experiential leadership learning.

New Fellowships Available

The East-West Center is pleased to announce new fellowships for the Asia Pacific Leadership
Program for 2009-10. Entering its eight year, the Asia Paci?c Leadership Program (APLP) is the center of excellence for leadership education in the Asia Paci?c region. The APLP is a graduate certi?cate program combining the development of regional expertise with the enhancement of individual leadership capacity. Based at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, the program has created a network of dynamic leaders in 48 countries who are helping to build a peaceful, prosperous and just Asia Paci?c community. All participants receive an APLP Entrance Fellowship valued at approximately $15,000.

Participants

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program seeks outstanding individuals with proven leadership experience or high leadership potential from across the Asia Pacific region, North America and beyond. All participants have at least a Bachelors degree with the majority having graduate degrees as well. At least 20 countries are represented in each cohort. APLP Fellows come together from all walks of life, including areas as diverse as government, business, NGOs, health sciences, media, monastic orders, and education.

APLP participants will gain broad regional perspectives, become knowledgeable about the critical challenges facing the Asia Pacific region, and be trained to exercise leadership and promote cooperation. The APLP empowers leaders with the knowledge, skills, experiences, and supportive community needed to successfully navigate personal and regional change in the 21st century.

Recruitment for 2009-10 is open. Places are limited. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
